Inter-Disciplinary Group

The Government of India has set up a high level Inter-Disciplinary Group to support country’s active engagement with activities related to the Un Food Systems Summit. With Prof. Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog as its chair and as the Convenor for Food Systems Summit for India, the Group is facilitated by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) and representatives from the Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and from the UN Agencies based in New Delhi. While India’s has chosen Action Track 4: Advancing Equitable Livelihoods, the National Dialogue has been inclusive aiming at inputs and suggestions for all the 5 Action Tracks of the UN Food System Summit.The first national level dialogue on Food Systems Summit 2021 was conducted on April 12, 2021 in virtual mode.
